Australian Taxation Services (Aust) Pty Ltd was originally founded in 2001 in
Melbourne's inner suburb of Malvern by Shane Macfarlane, a highly experienced
chartered accountant with a background in high level taxation consulting.

Originally established to service the tax needs of local clientele, our practice has
expanded significantly to focusing on local and international businesses, expatriate
taxation, high level accounting, local and international taxation, and SME business
advisory services.

In 2010 ATS established an office located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to provide
specialised expatriate taxation, and SME business taxation consulting for Australian
businesses operating in the region throughout Asia and beyond.

Today, from our offices in Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur, the Australian Taxation
Services Group services an incredibly diverse client base including Australian
individuals, expatriates and SME businesses operating locally and abroad (principally
Asia, Middle East, United Kingdom and USA).

We take great pride in the fact that a significant number of our clients who began
with us in 2001 are still with us today.

Many of these clients originally came to us for assistance with simple individual tax
returns. Unlike other accounting practices that solely focus on business clients; we
welcome both individuals and businesses to partner with us in their financial success.
